Youth & Community Arts Facilitation
I create small, intentional spaces where teenage girls and vulnerable youth can explore creativity as a tool for self-expression, emotional processing, confidence-building, and resilience.
Through collage, journaling, zine-making, painting, drawing, and mixed-media exploration, participants are invited to engage with art in ways that prioritise curiosity, care, and connection over perfection or performance.
My role is to hold space with gentleness and attentiveness, guiding creative exploration while encouraging participants to trust their own voices, stories, and ways of making meaning.
My facilitation practice has also been deeply informed by my training with the Butterfly Art Project, whose art therapeutic and trauma-informed approach to creative learning continues to shape my work. I remain engaged with their ongoing modules, resources, and facilitation community as part of my evolving practice.
Workshops, Programmes & Creative Events
I also host and collaborate on creative workshops, public programmes, and cultural events within Cape Town’s independent arts and self-publishing communities.
My workshops often centre collage, zine-making, analogue creativity, storytelling, and DIY publishing practices, creating accessible, hands-on spaces for experimentation, play, reflection, and collective expression. I have facilitated workshops at community gatherings, festivals, and creative events, including the Cape Town Print Fair and Khamissa Art Fest.
I’m interested in creating creative experiences that invite people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and engage with making as both a personal and collective practice.
